The efforts of authorities at all three levels of government (Federal, State and Municipal), local companies and producers, crew, talent and technicians have contributed significantly in recently years to the growth of the movie industry in Baja California.

More than a hundred movies, including such outstanding features as "Titanic", "Deep Blue Sea", "Pearl Harbor", “Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World”, “Jarhead”, “Resident Evil: Extinction”, “Into the Wild”, “Babel”, “Jumper”, “007 Quantum of Solace”, “Little Boy”, “All is Lost”; as well as television programming for major networks such as Univision, Telemundo, Televisa, TV Azteca, BBC, The Travel Channel, The Discovery Channel, National Geographic, MTV and numerous music videos and TV commercials for several famous artists and world wide well-known brands have been filmed in Baja California since 1996.
